Beacon/Morris convectors are engineered for both hot water and two-pipe steam heating system installations with heating elements comprised of lightweight and efficient copper aluminum.
The key feature of the convector is that it produces a large amount of heat, yet takes up relatively little space within the area it is installed. Many homeowners have taken advantage of our Beacon/Morris convectors to replace old-fashioned and "hot to the touch" cast-iron radiators. Not only do our convectors look better than radiators, they also give parents with small children peace of mind knowing they are eliminating the hot radiators from their children's environment.
Enclosures are available in 7 different styles: free standing, wall hung, two versions of semi-recessed, two versions of sloping top, and our most popular residential style, fully recessed. Enclosures are formed from heavy gauge steel and are finished in a pleasing prime coat that many homeowners choose to leave "as is". If desired, however, the prime coat easily accepts a final finish to meet individual requirements and tastes.
Dimensionally Beacon/Morris convectors are available in depths of 4", 6", and 8". Heights range from 14" to 32" while lengths max out at 64". BTUh outputs increase incrementally as the size of the convector increases. Outputs are also affected by the temperature of the hot water being circulated as well as by steam pressure in the heating system. We recommend consulting your favorite heating contractor for help in sizing and choosing a convector for your particular requirements.
